Pretty sure I had something in mind to go with this. Oh well.
Random Ramblings of 8/27
Every now and then the thought dissolves into my psyche: Huh. My brother is dead.
Sometimes I think about the things that have happened throughout the past couple of years and...well...anyway.
These kinda things happen every day to people who very well didn't deserve it.
"Meh."

I suppose I'll forever be in the crowd that looks at other artists and thinks, "How the fuck do they make it look so easy?!"
Admittedly, I have no idea what I'm doing. I just remember someone out there is worse than me and get on with my life.

She has that condition that makes you have two different color eyes...except it's worse...they're two different eyes entirely. (she doesn't really like to talk about it)

When I started out drawing as a preteen, I drew a lot of women and pretty boys with long hair and bangs. That's where anime fandom gets ya. Have you ever noticed how boys in shoujo manga are rarely ever without fringe?
*cough* Not that I'd know anything about that.
I'm always drawing girls and girly boys, though. I like a more soft, curvy body, so I'm a bit biased towards them. I need to cut that shit out, though. Gawd. Sexist...
So yeah, I have a hard time drawing most aspects of the head: hairline, shape, sideburns etc. They're usually covered by hair, so...
Sometimes I even forget the correct positioning of the ear. I really have to watch out for them in my more serious projects.
Another thing I'm learning about is the neck of a man. It's a bit more complex as you have the Adam's apple and the muscles that lead into the collarbone. But I really like them...so sexy... (# ̄(oo) ̄#)~~
So what is the guy above doing, you ask? Well, I originally thought something like gardening, but now that I think about it, he could be playing basketball, too. Though, both work up a sweat and it doesn't seem he's doing much of that... Maybe he's holding out a mirror to look at himself.
I call it...Narcissus...

5 Minute Draw & Blog

It makes me happy when my images come out at least half way what I was picturing. Today's 5 Minute Draw was pretty much exactly what I saw in my head.
Yes: She's doing a ballet interpretation of the chicken dance.
Seriously - what else can you draw from that position? Though, I kinda feel like she's trying to imitate a duck.
I've always wanted to be able to capture motion really well in my drawings. I can't stand when subjects are stiff as a board. No one's ever completely still, unless they're modeling. And even then, there is a flow of energy and body language that must be captured, or else it doesn't work.
I've been listening to a lot of My Chemical Romance today. I haven't listened to them since I was a teen. I don't know if their songs still hold up for me (well it's not like they're obsolete anyway; far from it), but their sound pretty much describes how I feel today.

La la la la la la la - la la la la la la la - la la la la la la la - cluck cluck cluck cluck!
Stuck in My Head: Kaizers Orchestra - "Aldri Vodka, Violeta"
Sometimes it takes me a day or so to react to certain things.
If this kind of thing keeps up, I think I will die...
